Dawgs After Dark: What you should know before you go

By: Alexandra Laing

Bring your UGA ID: The event is free for students, but you have to scan your ID to get in. The event is only $5 for non-students – quite the steal considering all the food and events you can participate in.

Wear comfortable clothes: Most Dawgs After Dark events include some physical activity, so tennis shoes are a good idea if you plan to join in the fun. For example, the Oct. 23 Dawgs After Dark event, Fallen Fairytales, has laser tag. Be prepared!

Come hungry: There is FREE FOOD for all participants, so come ready to chow down on a delicious meal from a local restaurant. This month’s caterer – McAllister’s Deli. Yum.

Come early: Committee members try to provide enough of everything for everyone, but if you want to avoid lines this Friday for building your own stuffed animal, seeing the movie, or partaking in the “Temple of Doom” – get there on time. You can be one of the lucky ones and enjoy everything the night has to offer, or you can suffer the late-night leftovers.

  1. This is a good facts box to accompany the Dawgs After Dark story. To make it stand alone, you need a summary paragraph introducing the group and its mission.
